The Baton Rouge Division is fortunate to have a dedicated staff of adult officers and instructors that work tirelessly to ensure that the unit operates efficiently. Parent and volunteer involvement is key to the success of any unit within the USNSCC/USNLCC. Regional and Division Command has the utmost respect for these individuals and appreciation for their efforts.
OUR COMMITMENT TO CADET SAFETY
The USNSCC/NLCC and the Baton Rouge Division holds the safety of all cadets in the highest regard. All officers enrolled in the USNSCC/NLCC undergo a thorough background check during the enrollment process and are required to complete mandated trainings in sexual harassment and abuse annually during enrollment such as "Darkness to Light" and are required to follow rigid regulations that govern cadet/officer interaction. At no time is an officer authorized to consult a cadet one on one or outside of unit activities. Female cadets must have a female officer present to be on deck.
All parents are encouraged to contact unit command with any concerns they may have as we have an open door policy. It is our mission that all cadets feel safe and all parents to have the utmost sense of security knowing that their cadet is in safe, responsible care when with the USNSCC/NLCC.
