Welcome to the US Naval Sea Cadet Corps and the Baton Rouge Division. It is an honor to have you as a part of the Baton Rouge Division and hope you are looking forward to the exciting training opportunities. The pride and honor of wearing the Navy uniform and being part of Naval tradition will give you a sense of service. The US Naval Sea and League Cadet Corps is the best youth organization to give young people the opportunity to experience and learn more about the armed forces while inspiring a sense of patriotism. The US Naval Sea Cadet and League Cadet Corps emphasize education, encourage leadership, challenge Cadets both physically and mentally, and help them to develop a strong moral character. The Baton Rouge Division lives by the core values of Honor, Courage, Commitment and Service.

Drills are typically conducted on the 3rd weekend of the month and consist of either day drills or overnight drills. For overnight drills, Cadets report on Friday night or Saturday morning, stay overnight, and are dismissed on Sunday around noon. During drill, cadets are trained on topics ranging from marksmanship, Honor Guard presentation, tactical field operations, drill & marching, medical training, physical training, swim qualifications, water survival, self defense, special warfare combatant training, ballistics, STEM topics, and more. These drills are conducted at various locations around the Baton Rouge area. You can find our training locations by clicking here for a map.
